Two o'clock in the afternoon at Coastal Coffee Roasters in Summerville, SC – That's where I arranged to meet up with the author of one of my favorite Christmas Songs – "I C Christmas". As Eddie Bush began telling about how he got into music at a very young age, it became quite apparent to me that Eddie Bush was far from typical. After 35 years in the music industry and a "major recording label" deal, Eddie continues to write and perform original music as well as provide lessons to a large number of students. Brad and his wife Jennifer, or "Jenny" as he affectionately calls her, are responsible for the creation, direction, choreography, and performance of the "Charleston Christmas Special" as well as two other full-scale Broadway type musical revues performed annually at the Charleston Music Hall.

This is Part 1 of a two-part article originating from an interview I recently conducted with Brad Moranz. Part 1 focuses on the history and early beginnings of Moranz Entertainment.

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to interview the up and coming Rorey Carroll. This Sunday, September 11, 2016, she will be performing at the Charleston Music Hall with the Todd Snider's East Nashville Review, also featuring East Side Bulldogs, Elizabeth Cook, Aaron Lee Tasjan, and Kevin Gordon.

Rorey's sound conveys a sense of realism that resonates well with her audiences. I am grateful for her honesty and candor in this interview. It enabled me to get a small glimpse of the origins of the deeply rich and soulful sounds that are evidenced in her music and lyrics.
